Which Choice Will You Make Today?

Let’s be honest. Life is rough. Stuff happens. Feelings get hurt. People disappoint. And plans don’t go like we want. But there’s a flip side to every dark side. A hope-filled, joy-infusing side. You ready?

God says true things.

I know it sounds cliché, but His Word is alive. God gives promises throughout His Word. He speaks truths throughout His Word. He graciously guides His people with commands throughout His Word. Our daily victory comes through faith.

We experience that abundant life Christ promised when we choose to take God at His Word, regardless of our circumstance. When we choose to look dead-on at that thing that’s trying to steal our peace and say with confidence, “I don’t have to be anxious about this! God promises to guard my heart with His peace as I lay every single thing before Him.”

God says true things. The challenge — the dare — is to believe Him.

I struggle with some fears about many things which I keep bottled up inside. I allow the enemy to take something and blow it all out of proportion. I have several “go to” scriptures that I use to battle him. We use these scriptures more and more in our family. Our youngest son has a terrible fear of storms, dark clouds, rain, hearing of hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deut 31:6
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22
Those are just a few that we go to and we recite them, we get the Bible and we read them and we put our names in them so they are speaking directly to us!
Thank you for sharing this reminder of God’s truth today~!~
